I too have been obsessed with SimCity 4 and precursors for about twelve years, and long time member of SimTropolis and SC4Devotion, although unfortunately I never picked up the modding bug. I have traveled much for work and spent a lot of time in small towns and metros through my years in the industry, secretly feeding my appetite by indulging in sights of city plans, road networks and architecture. I work for a wind energy developer focused on utility-scale renewable energy projects throughout the midwest and plains states in the US. I am in my late thirties, and glad to see so many folks my age continuing and enthusiastically enjoying city builder games like myself. I am Jake from the US, and live in Lawrence, Kansas, which is near Kansas City. I'd love to get to know you all, so feel free to send me a message and chat! it appears that Cities Skylines is it! I can't stress enough how completely thrilled I am to join this community and interact with all you city-building aficionados. I'm also a fan of real-time strategy games, and in terms of Paradox games I adore CK2 and EU IV.Īfter the SC hype train derailed, I went back to SC4 but was hoping someone, somewhere was building the city builder of my dreams. SimCity 4 took up all my free time for a solid five years, but I also enjoyed (to a lesser extent) Cities XL and City Life. I went back to play the previous two titles as well. I became obsessed with SimCity 3000 Unlimited when I was 10, and even at school I could be found drawing maps and designing new buildings for imaginary cities. One day I hope to move to the UK or Canada and return to healthcare to become a physician. I am 24, currently studying computer science after switching over from medicine. My name is Zach, and I hail from the United States (specifically the Chicago area - though I just moved to Columbus, Ohio).
